At Renewal by Andersen, giving back is part of who we are. Through Renewal Cares, we’re committed to supporting our community and honoring those who have served.
Recently, our Central California team had the privilege of working with the Striegel family in Bakersfield. Brett, a U.S. Army veteran, and his wife Gina are raising their four daughters with resilience, positivity, and a deep sense of gratitude—values that left a lasting impression on our team.
Inspired by their story, we put our values into action.
Through Renewal Cares, our team completed a meaningful home improvement project, including the installation of 18 new windows and one sliding glass door. A total of 8 volunteers contributed 95 hours over three days to support the project. The team completed extensive yard work, including mowing the backyard, pulling weeds, and treating the fence line and home perimeter. Two small, low-maintenance garden areas were installed near the shed and patio for Brett and Gina’s four daughters.
Additional efforts focused on enhancing the patio space, including cleaning outdoor furniture, sweeping, and adding new outdoor floor mats to complement the newly installed sliding door. Our donation of 18 windows and one sliding door played a key role in bringing this transformation to life. The new windows and sliding door will help improve the family’s comfort, energy efficiency, and overall sense of safety and security in their home.
As Memorial Day reminds us to honor the sacrifices made by service members and their families, projects like this are one small way we can give back to those who have given so much.
This effort reflects what we believe at our core: community is a strength, and we make a difference by showing up for one another.
We’re honored to support the Striegel family and proud to continue serving the communities we call home.
